NCCNHistory
On January 31, 1995, apress conferencewas held to announce
the creationof a national alliance todevelop and institute
standards of care for the treatment of cancer andperform
outcomes research – and so theNCCNwas born.With13original
NCCNMember Institutions, the goal was to ensuredelivery of
high-quality, cost-effective services topeoplewith cancer across
the country. NCCNbecame adeveloper andpromoter of national
programs to facilitate the fulfillment of NCCNMember Institution
