SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are currently seeking an experienced professional with diverse skills to create and measure marketing strategy for the promotion of NCCN programs and the NCCN website. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing and enhancing NCCN’s brand among physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other health professionals. This position requires occasional overnight travel.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, monitor, and reconcile marketing plans and budgets for print and digital promotional programs
- Maintain and update revenue database
- Draft, route, and approve promotional copy - incorporate NCCN proofreading policies
- Manage the consistent use of the NCCN logo, NCCN graphic standards, and NCCN Written Identity Guidelines
- Maintain all updates of web content, postings, and graphics to NCCN clinician website by working with NCCN IT department - make recommendations for improving functionality and site design
- Perform quarterly audit of NCCN.org for accuracy, functionality, and performance
- Complete analysis of web statistics and determine best performance of pages, ads, and links by tracking and measuring web metrics - measure marketing ROI
- Monitor and analyze market conditions to determine market requirements for the successful promotion of existing and future products and programs
- Research and suggest new marketing ideas and implementations
- Monitor registration counts for NCCN live events and propose effective marketing strategies to help NCCN meet articulated recruitment goals
- Liaison with NCCN staff to acquire clinical and other content for promotional materials
- Oversee NCCN Annual Report Production
- Maintain and update weekly traffic report of all marketing-related projects and programs
- Work with outside vendors to keep project timelines and budgets on target
- Create and manage sample and production files including PDFs, hard copies, etc.
- Coordinate with NCCN’s off site distribution center to maintain quantities and online ordering system.
- Create shipping manifests
- Suggest and attend continuing education seminars for marketing development
- Perform other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience with a healthcare or non-profit organization - Oncology experience preferred
- Experience in developing effective and innovative marketing plans to achieve goals as articulated by upper management
- Experience in developing SEO and keyword strategies
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong skills in writing, editing, and maintaining content for web
- Proficient in MS Office products
- Proficient in Google AdWords, Google Analytics, and DoubleClick

Medical Writer – Patient Information Specialist
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
NCCN seeks an experienced medical writer to develop patient versions of the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines™) and content for its website for patients and caregivers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Translate the NCCN Guidelines™ into patient-accessible language, maintaining the richness of information about treatment recommendations and choices in the parent guideline
- Work with team to develop vision for the website and suggest new content areas for the site
- Develop assigned articles about treatment modalities, testing, monitoring, and other medically oriented information for patients
- Proofread material
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Travel occasionally as required
EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- Masters degree in health-related field, Health Communications or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years directly related work experience
- Work or volunteer experience in a clinical setting a plus
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of oncology with emphasis on clinical modalities and multidisciplinary care required

Oncology Scientist, Molecular Medicine
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position reports to the Senior Vice President Clinical Information and Publications and is responsible primarily for the development and maintenance of the NCCN Molecular Testing Compendium. Staff member works collaboratively with guidelines coordinators, oncology scientists, physician panel members, etc. to ensure prompt and accurate incorporation of recommendations for predictive and prognostic testing using molecular diagnostics recommended in the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology™ into the Compendium. The Compendium will include both disease-specific recommendations and recommendations for their implementation. This staff member will participate in development of electronic tools to develop, maintain, and disseminate compendium recommendations and to incorporate them into 3rd party systems. Minimal travel is required.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop recommendations for the use of molecular diagnostics in the management of cancer based on recommendations in the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology™.
- Attend or review guidelines update meetings and telephone conferences to identify substantive changes in the recommended uses of molecular diagnostics in the treatment of cancer.
- Review draft algorithms to identify new or changed uses of molecular diagnostics in the guidelines.
- Draft new compendium entries or update existing compendium entries to reflect changes in guidelines.
- Review FDA approvals where applicable and update compendium to reflect any changes.
- Participate in development of database driven compendium maintenance tool and use the resulting tool to develop and maintain the recommendations.
- Track oncology literature, especially as related to molecular testing.
EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:
PhD or MD with ability to evaluate clinical research. MS or PharmD with commensurate experience considered. Expertise in and experience with clinical laboratory testing, molecular pathology, and CLIA standards strongly desirable. Experience in oncology and in oncology scientific/medical writing preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have the functional knowledge to evaluate molecular testing recommendations and to translate into comprehensive written guidelines and compendium format.
- Must possess strong attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in MS Office products.
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external personnel at various levels.
- Must have excellent writing skills and the ability to formulate medical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Understanding of implications of compendium for utilization and coverage policy is a plus.
- Experience and/or training in medical informatics a strong plus.

Program Coordinator
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
NCCN seeks a Program Coordinator who will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications & Policy and will work on the development and execution of communications to NCCN Member Institutions and other constituencies in the oncology community.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Senior Manager, Corporate Communications & Policy to provide oversight and management of the NCCN Products & Services Committee, Government Relations Representatives, Affiliate Forum, and Communications Committee
- Serve to support the efforts of Chief Operating Officer; Director, Payor Relations; and Senior Manager, Corporate Communications & Policy in outreach and initiatives with major employer groups
- Develop correspondence, external presentations, and analyses of business-related topics
- Review and edit NCCN eBulletin, informational resources, educational grant proposals, marketing materials, and press releases
- Assist in development and execution of health policy programs and summits
- Perform quality control for NCCN Member Institution staff’s travel expense reports
- Research issues of concern to NCCN Member Institutions
- Perform other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or Business; master’s degree preferred
