NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines™) for Bladder Cancer (Version 2.2010) and for Breast Cancer Risk Reduction (Version 1.2010).
The update to the NCCN Guidelines™ for Bladder Cancer includes the addition of the Discussion section to correspond with the treatment algorithm. The TNM Staging System for Bladder Cancer has been updated and Staging System for Renal Pelvis and Ureter Cancer have been added based on the 7th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) Staging Manual.
The update to the NCCN Guidelines for Breast Cancer Risk Reduction includes the addition of a detailed familial risk assessment list.
NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Drugs & Biologics Compendium (NCCN Compendium™) Chapters for Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Risk Reduction to reflect updates to the 2010 version of the corresponding NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines™).
The update to the NCCN Compendium™ chapter for Breast Cancer includes trastuzumab and lapatinib being added to aromatase inhibition for postmenopausal women with HER2-positive disease based on several recent studies which demonstrated a progression-free, but not overall, survival advantage.
The update to the NCCN Compendium chapter for Breast Cancer Risk Reduction has also been posted.
