NCCN recently published updates to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines™) for Breast Cancer. These NCCN Guidelines™ are currently available as Version 1.2011.
Significant updates to the NCCN Guidelines for Breast Cancer include the addition of a new page discussing fertility and birth control following adjuvant therapy for breast cancer. The Principles of Radiation Therapy page was also updated. The NCCN Guidelines Panel added two paragraphs discussing Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI) and Optimizing Delivery and Individualized Therapy. Lastly, links were added throughout the NCCN Guidelines for Breast Cancer to the new NCCN Guidelines for Patients™: Breast Cancer, which can be accessed on NCCN.com.
