NCCN Flash Update: NCCN Guidelines Updated

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Guidelines and NCCN Drugs & Biologics Compendium (NCCN Compendium™) for Hepatobiliary Cancers. These NCCN Guidelines are currently available as Version 1.2011.

  • The Hepatocellular carcinoma screening and diagnosis sections were revised to reflect the updated American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Guidelines.

  • Gemcitabine and cisplatin combination therapy was added as an option (category 1) for unresectable or metastatic disease in patients with Gallbladder cancer and Intrahepatic and Extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
  • A new section on stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) and external-beam radiotherapy was added to the Principles of Locoregional Therapy page.

 

Flash Update Sent February 24, 2011

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Guidelines for Head and Neck Cancers. These NCCN Guidelines are currently available as Version 1.2011.

  • The Principles of Radiation pages were revised, including the addition of a new radiation page for Ethmoid Sinus tumors.

  • The Principles of Systemic Therapy page was revised as follows: for recurrent, unresectable or metastatic disease, regimens with cetuximab were clarified as non-nasopharyngeal.

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Guidelines for Head and Neck Cancers. These NCCN Guidelines are currently available as Version 2.2011.

  • The Discussion section of the NCCN Guidelines for Head and Neck Cancers has been updated to correspond with the treatment algorithm.
