In April, JNCCN introduced an exciting new section to commemorate ten years of important clinical insights in the journal: NCCN Guidelines® Insights. Each month, Panel members will shed light on the deliberation process behind the creation of the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®), clarifying why and how these important decisions are made. These NCCN Guidelines® Insights are designed to assist readers in understanding some of the issues that Panel members face and the ways they apply data to make recommendations.
The debut article in this new section featured a closer look at Anal Carcinoma. Read about the four major changes made to the NCCN Guidelines for Anal Carcinoma, as well as a discussion of the use of PET/CT in anal margin cancer, in the April 2012 issue on JNCCN.org.
