The NCCN Guidelines for Patients®: Ovarian Cancer, Version 1.2013, is now available on NCCN.org and NCCN.com.
The NCCN Guidelines for Patients®: Ovarian Cancer has been updated to reflect the content of the 2013 Version of the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) for Ovarian Cancer. This NCCN Guidelines for Patients® are a high-quality resource for patients and caregivers in the process of treatment planning. It includes NCCN's most recent treatment recommendations for each stage of epithelial ovarian cancer, as well as borderline ovarian cancer (low malignant potential tumor).
The NCCN Guidelines for Patients®: Ovarian Cancer was developed according to plain language principles to improve health literacy. It has been redesigned into a patient-friendly format and include descriptions of recommended tests and treatments, as well as definitions of medical terms. This resource also includes medical illustrations of anatomy, tests, and treatments that may help patients to better understand the cancer and treatment process.
NCCN currently offers 12 NCCN Guidelines for Patients® for the following: breast, colon, ovarian, non-small cell lung, pancreatic, and prostate cancers, chronic myelogenous leukemia, lung cancer screening, malignant pleural mesothelioma, multiple myeloma, and caring for adolescents and young adults (AYA).
