NCCN GUIDELINES AND NCCN COMPENDIUM UPDATED

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) for Kidney Cancer. These NCCN Guidelines® are currently available as Version 3.2014.

  • The follow-up recommendations for kidney cancer were extensively revised and organized by both stage and type of primary treatment as follows:
    • Stage I (pT1a)
      • Follow-up During Active Surveillance
      • Follow-up After Ablative Techniques
    • Stage I (pT1a) and (pT1b)
      • Follow-up After a Partial or Radical Nephrectomy
    • Stage II or III
      • Follow-up After a Partial or Radical Nephrectomy
    • Follow-up for Relapsed or Stage IV and Medically or Surgically Unresectable Disease
