Now Available! Updated NCCN Guidelines for Patients® for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
The NCCN Guidelines for Patients® for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), Version 1.2013, are now available at NCCN.com.
The National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) aims to provide people with cancer and the general public with state-of-the-art cancer treatment information in easy-to-understand language. The NCCN Guidelines for Patients®, translations of the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®), are meant to help patients with cancer talk to their physicians about the best treatment options for their disease.
The NCCN Guidelines for Patients® for NSCLC include NCCN's most recent treatment recommendations for each stage of NSCLC, as well as descriptions of medical terms, tests, and treatments in order to improve health literacy.
NCCN currently offers 12 NCCN Guidelines for Patients® available for the following types of cancer: Breast, Colon, Non-Small Cell Lung, Ovarian, Pancreatic, and Prostate Cancers, Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia, Lung Cancer Screening, Malignant Melanoma, Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma, Multiple Myeloma, and Caring for Adolescents and Young Adults (AYA).
