Latest results show JNCCN moving up among top oncology journals
JENKINTOWN, Pa., July 24, 2006 — The Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (JNCCN) has increased its ranking among top oncology journals, according to FOCUS—a company that measures readership for medical journals.
JNCCN, a monthly, peer-reviewed oncology publication, moved from ninth to eighth in readership, a quality determined by FOCUS based on reader survey responses. Twice a year, the company polls physicians to find out whether they receive and how often they read particular journals. JNCCN’s most recent scores show a 5% increase in readership since December 2005 and a 19% increase since it was first evaluated in 2004. JNCCN was launched in 2003 and has achieved this recognition and status among cancer journals after the publication of less than 20 issues.
JNCCN disseminates information across the cancer care continuum by publishing clinical practice guidelines and reporting rigorous outcomes data collected and analyzed by experts from the world's leading care centers. JNCCN also provides a forum for original research and review papers focusing on clinical and translational research and applications of the NCCN guidelines in everyday practice.
