JENKINTOWN, Pa., December 13, 2006 — The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) is proud to announce a new collaboration with Medscape from WebMD, the leading provider of online medical information and education for physicians and other healthcare professionals. The latest version of the NCCN Breast Cancer Guidelines, NCCN Clinical Practice in Oncology™, will be published on Medscape at www.medscape.com/viewarticle/548868, bringing the recognized standard for clinical policy in the oncology community to the widest audience of online healthcare professionals.
Visitors to Medscape will have easy access to the leading developments in the treatment of breast cancer. These recommendations are developed and updated through a consensus-driven process with explicit review of the scientific evidence by multidisciplinary panels of expert physicians from NCCN member institutions.
