Program Overview

Based on the deliberations of experts from 21 leading cancer centers, the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology™ Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer provide sequential recommendations for the management of lung malignancies. This program will present these algorithms and focus on new approaches that have been incorporated into the guidelines, including the use of drugs, biologics, and diagnostics.

Educational Objectives

Following this activity, participants should be able to:

• Define the roles of new therapies in management strategies for metastatic non-small cell lung cancer
• Differentiate management of treatment of patients with local disease, locally advanced disease, and metastatic non-small cell lung cancer

Intended Audience

This educational activity is designed to meet the needs of physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals who manage patients with cancer.

Activity Instructions

Continuing education credit will be awarded to participants who listen to the presentation and complete the evaluation.  Participants should review the learning objectives and faculty disclosure statements prior to listening to a presentation in its entirety.  You must be connected to the Internet in order to review and complete the evaluation form.  A statement of credit will be electronically generated once you complete the evaluation form.  To receive credit, this activity must be completed no later than November 29, 2008.  There is no fee for participating in this activity.
