Program Goal

The goal of this program is to provide participants with increased knowledge regarding the innovative therapies and treatment methods used for the management of patients with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML).

Educational Objectives

Following this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify recent developments in treatment options for chronic myelogenous leukemia CML
  • Explain how these developments can help patients with CML
  • Describe the development of imatinib resistance and management strategies for patients who develop resistance

Intended Audience

This educational activity is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals who manage patients with cancer.

Activity Instructions

Continuing education credit will be awarded to participants who view the presentation, pass the post-test with a score of 80% or higher, and complete the evaluation.  Participants should review the learning objectives and faculty disclosure statement prior to viewing and listening to a presentation in its entirety.  You must be connected to the Internet in order to review and complete the post-test and the evaluation form.  A statement of credit will be electronically generated once you pass the post-test and complete the evaluation form.  To receive credit, this activity must be completed no later than May 23, 2009.  There is no fee for participating in this activity.
