Program Goal
The goal of this program is to provide participants with increased knowledge regarding the innovative therapies and treatment methods used for the management of patients with cancer-related opioid-induced side effects.
Educational Objectives
Following this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify common opioid-induced side effects experienced by patients with cancer
- List treatment options available for the management of cancer-related opioid-induced side effects
- Explain how to choose treatments for cancer-related opioid-induced side effects while considering the patient’s disease and quality of life issues
Intended Audience
This educational activity is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals who manage patients with cancer.
Activity Instructions
Continuing education credit will be awarded to participants who listen to the presentation and complete the evaluation. Participants should review the learning objectives and faculty disclosure statements prior to listening to a presentation in its entirety. You must be connected to the Internet in order to review and complete the evaluation form. A statement of credit will be electronically generated once you complete the evaluation form. To receive credit, this activity must be completed no later than May 20, 2009. There is no fee for participating in this activity.
