Program Goal
The goal of this program is to provide participants with increased knowledge regarding the new advances in risk reduction for recurrence of breast cancer in premenopausal women.
Educational Objectives
Following this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify ongoing clinical trials evaluating the role of ovarian ablation/suppression combined with tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor in younger women with breast cancer
- Summarize results of the recently reported ABCSG-12 study with respect to the impact of adjuvant bisphosphonate therapy on breast cancer-specific outcomes
- Identify ongoing clinical trials evaluating use of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists in the preservation of fertility in younger women with breast cancer receiving chemotherapy
Intended Audience
This educational activity is designed to meet the needs of physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals who manage patients with cancer.

Continuing education credit will be awarded to participants who listen to the presentation and complete the evaluation.
