Program Overview
This presentation reviews the updated NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in OncologyTM Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) for primary therapy, disease monitoring, second-line therapy, and allogeneic transplant in patients with CML. In addition, treatment options for patients who fail imatinib therapy will be described in terms of the new breakthroughs with tyrosine kinase inhibitors.
Educational Objectives
Following this activity, participants should be able to:
- List the appropriate pathology techniques for diagnosis and prognostic modeling for patients with chronic myelogenous leukemia
- Identify the available therapeutic options for chronic myelogenous leukemia
Intended Audience
This educational activity is designed to meet the needs of physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals who manage patients with cancer.
