The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), a not-for-profit alliance of 21 of the world’s leading cancer centers, is dedicated to improving the quality and effectiveness of care provided to patients with cancer. The purpose of the NCCN Best Practices Committee is to share successes and challenges in areas related to cancer center operations management and the delivery of oncology services. To this end, the Committee develops research studies and shares experiences in areas such as quality and patient safety, oncology workforce productivity, inpatient and ambulatory clinical operations, and clinical research/clinical trials operations. The primary goal of all NCCN initiatives is to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of oncology practice so patients can live better lives.
