NCCN offers oncology case management education programs designed to meet the needs of case managers and medical directors in managed care organizations about technology, guideline development, clinical trials, and advances in the delivery of cancer care. The program also highlights the comprehensive cancer care delivered by NCCN Member Institutions. Program participants are educated on topics such as the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology™ and the NCCN Drugs & Biologics Compendium™, an overview of oncology care today with an emphasis on complex cancers, communicating with patients with cancer and addressing end-of-life issues, emerging pharmaceutical and technology issues in cancer care, and understanding clinical trials. Content is offered both through on-site meetings and in webinar format. NCCN offers continuing education credits for nurses (CEU), case managers (CCM) and physicians (CME).
NCCN also offers overviews of the “big four” cancers: breast, lung, colorectal and prostate cancers. These 90-minute presentations are offered as webinars.
