Educational Objectives
Following this program, participants should be able to:
- Discuss updates to NCCN guidelines for breast, colon, kidney, non-small cell lung, prostate, and rectal cancers, chronic myelogenous leukemia, hepatocellular carcinoma, mycosis fungoides/Sézary Syndrome, multiple myeloma, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
- Identify preferred methods for toxicity management.
- Recognize clinical issues surrounding the use of growth factors
- Report advances in the treatment of small cell lung cancer
- Explain the innovative mechanisms of action found in combination therapy
- Describe the issues involved in sequencing drugs for metastatic renal cell carcinoma
- Demonstrate the usefulness of new imaging techniques in managing solid tumors and lymphomas
- Summarize the latest trends in predictive medicine
- Discuss the findings of the NCCN Task Force for: Breast Cancer in the Older Woman; mTOR Inhibition in Solid Tumors; Prevention and Management of Mucositis in Cancer Care; and Oral Chemotherapy
