Submission Request to the Guidelines Panels

Guideline Submission Form and Status

NCCN Guidelines Panels accept the submission of published data related to Guidelines recommendations (excludes Discussion). Submissions are accepted throughout the year and are triaged to be addressed during the annual review process or on an interim basis. All accepted submissions are published on the NCCN website and the outcome is published in a transparency document. View the NCCN Guidelines Submissions Request Process.

Comments for Guidelines Discussion

Comments for the Guidelines Discussion may also be submitted. Comments should only include descriptive and supporting information. They should not include requests for recommendations not addressed in the Guidelines. If Discussion comments are related to a recent Guidelines Submission, please indicate the related Submission Request Number(s). Comments will be addressed during the routine update of the product. They will not be posted to the NCCN website, nor will they be included in the transparency document.

Comments for Compendia or Chemotherapy Order Templates

Content in the Compendia and Chemotherapy Order Templates are derived from the corresponding Guidelines and do not have a separate Submissions process. Comments for the Compendia or Chemotherapy Order Templates should only be submitted if an error is identified (not for updates to indications or other information that is from the Guidelines). Comments will be addressed during the routine update of the product. They will not be posted to the NCCN website, nor will they be included in the transparency document.

Guidelines Submissions Request Process:

  • Guidelines submission requests must be received via the online form no less than 4 weeks (28 days) prior to the annual Guidelines Panel Meeting to be considered during the annual update. The schedule for annual Panel Meetings is available on the NCCN website.
    • Please note that submissions received within 4 weeks of the annual Panel Meeting will be assessed by Panel leadership, however, it is at the discretion of Panel leadership, based on the data submitted, when the submission will be presented to the full Panel.
  • If a previous submission was reviewed and published, a new submission for the same request is only accepted with new or additional supporting data.
  • All references should be in a PDF format and available in the public domain at the time of the submission. Press releases are not accepted.
Submissions requesting a category 1 designation need to be supported by a minimum of a peer-reviewed, published, randomized phase 3 trial or a robust meta-analysis.
  • All Panel discussions are confidential until the publication of the NCCN Guidelines on the NCCN website. Please check the NCCN website for updates.
  • All submission requests will be posted with the applicable Guidelines publication. A transparency document will also be posted related to the outcome of the request.

Any questions regarding the submission process should be directed to submissions@nccn.org.
