More than 25,000 oncologists and other cancer care professionals across the United States read JNCCN—Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, with more subscribers overseas. Under the direction of Editor-in-Chief, Margaret A. Tempero, MD, this fully peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed journal continued to pursue the vision adopted in 2015. JNCCN furthers the mission of NCCN by serving as “the primary resource for information on NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology® (NCCN Guidelines®), innovation in translational medicine, and on scientific studies related to oncology health services research, including quality care and value, patient outcomes, and public policy.

In addition to this original health services research, JNCCN features updates on the NCCN Guidelines®, including the NCCN Guidelines Insights, which provide behind-the-scenes views into the Panel discussions that lead to important changes in the Guidelines. Each issue of the journal also includes "Molecular Insights in Patient Care"— case reports that highlight the growing role of molecular medicine in diagnosis and treatment decisions, including the further evidence needed to bring innovation from individual cases into standard practice.

Finally, JNCCN brings readers departments such as “Oncology Watch,” Dr. Tempero’s timely comments on trends in oncology; “The Last Word,” commentary from experts on a selected original research articles; and correspondence.

Continuing education is available each month for the NCCN Guidelines Insights. This content also appears on the NCCN Continuing Education Portal, education.nccn.org.
