Now Available! NCCN Patient and Caregiver Resources on NCCN.org
The National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) has launched the NCCN Patient and Caregiver Resourcessection, now available on NCCN.org. This section of NCCN.org replaces NCCN.com. The intent of this resource is to provide concise and relevant information about cancer not only to patients, but also to the people who care for them and their clinicians. In designing this resource, NCCN sought to provide a mechanism to educate visitors about the mission of NCCN, the NCCN Foundation®, and the 23 NCCN Member Institutions.
The new NCCN Patient and Caregiver Resources section leverages materials created by NCCN, as well as organizations that share a similar mission. Among the resources available on the site, users can find succinct information about topics ranging from disease-specific background through palliative care and survivorship, all written in a patient-friendly style. This page also prominently displays the NCCN Guidelines for Patients® and a new comprehensive dictionary to aid readers, which includes terms from each of the 13 available NCCN Guidelines for Patients®.
Further, users have the ability to search for disease-specific advocacy organizations and visit NCCN Member Institution patient websites. Visitors to the NCCN Patient and Caregiver Resources section of NCCN.org will also have the opportunity to register to receive updates from NCCN via a secure email service.
