NCCN Flash UpdatesTM: NCCN Guidelines® and NCCN Compendium® Updated

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) and the NCCN Drugs & Biologics Compendium (NCCN Compendium®) for Testicular Cancer. These NCCN Guidelines® are currently available as Version 1.2015. 

  • Pure Seminoma and Nonseminoma

    • The follow-up recommendations for both pure seminoma (TEST-A) and nonseminomatous germ cell tumor (TEST-B) were extensively revised.

  • Pure Seminoma

    • Primary treatment of Stage IA, IB (TEST-3)

      • For single-agent carboplatin, the NCCN category of evidence and consensus was changed from category 1 to category 2A

      • For radiation therapy, a dose of “20 Gy” was added and the NCCN category was changed from category 1 to category 2A.

  • Principles of Radiation Therapy (TEST-C 3 of 5)

    • Stage IIA-IIB

      • For the modified dog-leg fields, the option of dose 25.5 Gy in 15 daily 1.7-Gy fractions was removed.
