NCCN Flash Updates: NCCN Guidelines® and NCCN Compendium® Updated for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) and the NCCN Drugs and Biologics Compendium (NCCN Compendium®) for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). These NCCN Guidelines® are currently available as Version 5.2020.

  • Advanced or Metastatic Disease
    • PD-L1 Expression Positive (≥50%) and EGFR, ALK, ROS1, BRAF, MET exon 14 skipping mutation, and RET negative and no contraindications to PD-1 or PD-L1 inhibitors (NSCL-30)
      • Atezolizumab added as a preferred first-line treatment option (category 2A).
    • Targeted Therapy or Immunotherapy for Advanced or Metastatic Disease (NSCL-I 1 of 2 and NSCL-I 2 of 2)
      • PD-L1 ≥50%: Atezolizumab added with reference.
  • The discussion section has been updated to reflect the changes in the algorithm (MS-1).
