NCCN Flash Updates: NCCN Templates® Updated for Myelodysplastic Syndromes

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Chemotherapy Order Templates (NCCN Templates®) for Myelodysplastic Syndromes to reflect the currently published NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) for Myelodysplastic Syndromes v2.2020.

  • The following NEW NCCN Templates® have been published:
    • MDS8: AzaCITIDine
    • MDS9: Decitabine
    • MDS10: Imatinib
    • MDS11: Lenalidomide
    • MDS12: Midostaurin
    • MDS13: Ruxolitinib
    • MDS14: AzaCITIDine + Ruxolitinib
    • MDS15: Decitabine + Ruxolitinib
  • Changes to the Chemotherapy Regimen section have been made to the following templates:
    • MDS5: ATG (Antithymocyte globulin, equine)/CycloSPORINE
    • MDS6: ATG (Antithymocyte globulin, equine)
  • References have been updated on the following templates:
    • MDS5: ATG (Antithymocyte globulin, equine)/CycloSPORINE
    • MDS6: ATG (Antithymocyte globulin, equine)
  • The following note has been revised in the Supportive Care section impacting all templates:
    • Risk of serious bacterial, viral, and fungal infections exists during treatment. Refer to drug package insert, individual NCCN disease guideline, and NCCN Guidelines for Prevention and Treatment of Cancer-Related Infections for monitoring, prophylaxis, and/or preemptive therapy recommendations.
  • Drug information notes for the following agents have been updated in the Supportive Care, Monitoring and Hold Parameters, and/or Safety Parameters and Special Instructions sections:
    • AzaCITIDine
    • Decitabine
    • ATG (Antithymocyte globulin, equine)
