Preparing for the future

I was supposed to leave for

college the week I was diagnosed.

Instead of going to parties at my new school that week, I had to decide if I wanted

to freeze my eggs – which would delay treatment – or start treatment immediately

so I could start college the next fall rather than winter. What 18-year old is

prepared to make a decision about a future family in one week?”
