chaplain

Distress is an unpleasant experience of a mental, physical,

social, or spiritual nature.

oncologist

A medical doctor who’s an expert in the treatment of cancer.

psychiatrist

A medical doctor who’s an expert in mental health.

psychologist

A trained expert in the human mind and behavior.

risk factor

Anything that increases the chance of an event.

screening tool

A short assessment for a condition.

side effect

An unplanned physical or emotional response to treatment.

social worker

An expert in meeting people’s social and emotional needs.

Repeated use of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco that causes

major life problems.
