NCCN Guidelines for Patients

Soft Tissue Sarcoma, Version 1.2014

Desmoid tumors

Treatment with surgery

Chart 5.1.2

lists care after treatment has ended.

You should receive rehabilitation if needed. This may

include occupational or physical therapy. Report any

new or worse symptoms to your doctors. A change

in symptoms may be a sign of tumor growth. You

should also start to have follow-up tests to check if

the tumor has returned. Tests include medical history,

physical exam, and imaging. These tests should be

done every 3 to 6 months for 2 to 3 years. If results

are normal during this time, these tests can be done

every year.
