NCCN Flash Updates: NCCN Guidelines® and NCCN Compendium® Updated for Squamous Cell Skin Cancer and NCCN Guidelines Updated for Survivorship

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) and the NCCN Drugs & Biologics Compendium (NCCN Compendium®) for Squamous Cell Skin Cancer. These NCCN Guidelines® are currently available as Version 2.2020.

  • Principles of Systemic Therapy for Squamous Cell Skin Cancer (SCC-F)
    • Regional recurrence or distant metastatic disease, "Pembrolizumab (preferred) if curative surgery and curative RT are not feasible" was added a category 2A recommendation.
    • Footnote 1 was revised by adding, "Emerging phase II data show approximately 34% response to pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic and/or locally recurrent unresectable cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma."

 

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Guidelines for Survivorship. These NCCN Guidelines are currently available as Version 2.2020.

  • The Discussion has been updated to reflect the changes in the algorithm. (MS-1)
