The Utility and Value of National Cancer Control Plans (NCCPs) Across the Economic Spectrum

This webinar will explore the core elements of an evidence-based NCCP, as well as similarities and differences of NCCPs across the economic spectrum of countries, from high-income to lower-middle low-income countries. Additionally, there will be a focus on implementation research, impact of NCCPs, and lessons learned, with a focus on determining value inside of NCCPs and what NCCPs consider “valuable” and why. Other policy elements of determining value and utility in global health care systems (Cost-Effectiveness Analysis, Health Technology Assessment, etc.) will be explored. Finally, this webinar will explore WHO ‘Best Buys’ and other recommended interventions for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases.

Policy Fellows Program

The NCCN Policy and Advocacy Fellowship program provides exposure to oncology policy and related skills for early-career health policy professionals who have demonstrated the potential for leadership in their fields. NCCN Policy fellows learn techniques in policy research, development, advocacy, communication, and implementation of oncology policy programs that further NCCN's mission to improve and facilitate quality, effective, equitable, and accessible cancer care so all patients can live better lives. Areas of focus for NCCN policy fellowships currently include Global Oncology Policy, and have previously focused on State Oncology Policy, and Quality and Value in Oncology.
