NEW NCCN Resources for Prostate Cancer in Latin America

NCCN is pleased to offer the NCCN Guidelines for Patients® Prostate Cancer: Early Stage and Prostate Cancer: Advanced Stage in both Spanish and Portuguese for free download by 9 April. These important patient resources are intended to help cancer patients and their families talk with their physicians about the best treatment options for their disease.

In addition, NCCN has also updated the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) for Prostate Cancer in both Spanish and Portuguese to the most current version. NCCN believes strongly that by translating the NCCN Guidelines® both providers and patients are able to have access to NCCN resources to the benefit of cancer patients globally. In collaboration with the Latin American Cooperative Oncology Group (LACOG), NCCN co-hosted a webinar “Management of Prostate Cancer for Latin America”, focused on key updates in the NCCN Guidelines for Prostate Cancer to optimize clinical management, presented by leading experts from Latin America and the United States. The sessions also covered the impact of COVID-19 on prostate cancer, successful initiatives cancer centers have implemented in response to the COVID-19 crisis, and how these initiatives will impact the future of prostate cancer care. All three initiatives were supported by Astellas.
