NCCN Flash Updates: NCCN Guidelines Updated for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®), and the Drugs and Biologics Compendium (NCCN Compendium®) for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. These NCCN Guidelines® are currently available as Version 2.2022.

AML-6

  • IDH1 or IDH2 Treatment Induction, preferred regimen added: Ivosidenib once daily (500mg) PO and azacitidine 75 mg/m2 SC or IV (days 1-7 or day 1-5, 8-9 of each 28-day cycle) (category 1) (IDH1 only)

AML-6A

  • Footnote added: This regimen is approved for newly-diagnosed AML with an IDH1 mutation who met at least one of the following criteria: age >75 years, baseline ECOG performance status of ≤ 2, severe cardiac or pulmonary disease, hepatic impairment with bilirubin > 1.5 times the upper limit of normal, creatinine clearance < 45 mL/min, or other comorbidity.
