NCCN Flash Updates: NCCN Guidelines Updated Kidney Cancer

NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) and the NCCN Drugs & Biologics Compendium (NCCN Compendium®) for Kidney Cancer. These NCCN Guidelines® are currently available as Version 2.2024.

Terminologies in all NCCN Guidelines are being actively modified to advance the goals of equity, inclusion, and representation.

KID-C (2 of 3)

  • Subsequent Therapy for Clear Cell Histology
    • Prior IO Therapy, Useful in Certain Circumstances
      • Belzutifan changed from a category 2B to a category 2A recommendation and moved to Other Recommended Regimens.
  • Footnote f added: This regimen is for patients that have received a programmed death receptor-1 (PD-1) or programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitor and a vascular endothelial growth factor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (VEGF-TKI).
