About the NCCN Guidelines for Patients

NCCN Guidelines for Patients

For more than 25 years, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) has developed resources to improve the quality of cancer care. These resources include the award-winning NCCN Guidelines for Patients®. The NCCN Guidelines for Patients present expert recommendations in plain language to help people discuss options with their cancer care team. This library of free resources is made possible through support from the NCCN Foundation®

The recommendations in the NCCN Guidelines for Patients are from the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®). The NCCN Guidelines® are frequently updated by multidisciplinary panels of clinicians, researchers, and advocates. They are used by health care providers worldwide. NCCN has rigorous processes for transparency and management of potential conflicts of interest and openly shares how NCCN Guidelines are developed.

Awards and Recognition

The NCCN Guidelines for Patients have been independently recognized for their ability to empower people with cancer and caregivers.
